Hello I am USCG Licensed Master Captain David Hooks, Jr. but am better known as Capt’n Hook!! I got this nickname for one of several reasons, my love of fishing, enjoyment of endless days on the water, being crazy about Jimmy Buffet, last name being Hooks, and last but not least the movie Peter Pan may have had an influence. I know it wasn’t being a Captain, or the movie a couple of years back Hook, because I had it long before either of these occurred. Needless to say I have it now, an extremely proud of it because it fits. A Pirate Looks at Forty is my theme song!! The past couple of years I have been looking back at forty but that’s a whole different song entirely. But I love my job of taking people fishing, if it is 60 miles offshore to the Gulf Stream hunting Tuna, Mahi and Wahoo, or in the backwater trying to scare up a Flounder it is all serious business to me. I love meeting people and enjoy talking and cutting up on trips because it’s all about camaraderie. I enjoy having kids on board and try to be instrumental in making their day great, we can’t always catch the fish but we can come home knowing we have exhausted all means, and had great time doing it!

I have been fishing these waters for the last thirty years and usually have a pretty good idea as where to look. I also travel all over the Country fishing the King Mackerel tournaments in the Gulf as well as the Atlantic. I fish on the average of 20 tournaments a year and also offer tournament trips. I have a couple of Captains that help me out when the booking gets slammed but they are great people and will make your trip almost as good as I could!! That’s a joke Ha! Ha! Through radios and cell phones I stay personally involved in every trip. Our ultimate goal is to have you as a repeat customer if you frequent the area or pop in once in a while.

I have a wonderful family, my wife Dina and my 6-year-old son Tripp are the most important things in my life and they both love to fish. Most of my days off are spent on the water with my family and friends. Tripp hit the tournament scene last year and bounds and declares he is going to be a threat to be reckoned with for the Junior Angler awards this year. Well all I can say about that is I will give him the opportunity!! Well enough babble we would love to have you fish with us and will promise to give you an honest effort and plenty of hospitality!
